Mary Immaculate Kerugoya Hospital is a level IV faith-based facility owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Murang'a. The hospital was started as a small dispensary by the Consolata Missionaries from nothern Italy in 1942. In the year 2013 the maternity wing was added ith a bed capacity of 6 beds. Maternity services were offered up to the year 2019 when it was converted to a general ward with a bed capacity of 11 beds due to lack of Theatre services.
In the year 2020, the Inpatient wing was constructed consisting of Female wards - 10 beds, Male ward - 10 beds and Pedeatric ward 10 beds bringing the total bed capacity to 41.
Curently, the hospital has a bed capacity of 107 beds distributed across all units(Maternity ward, Surgical wards, Medical wards and Dialysis)
